Rare cutlery table made in the 1960s by cutlery manufacturer Viners. This superbly shaped small table has great form with its black lacquered splayed legs. The top swivels from one corner to reveal storage for a Viners Chelsea cutlery set.
This cutlery/table combination is a design classic and was created by renowned silver and goldsmith Gerald Benney CBE. He popularised stainless steel cutlery designs in post-war Britain and was influenced by Scandinavian design.
The table is in great shape with the top and legs having a recent recondition. It would make a great small coffee/occasional table even if you don’t want to store anything inside it!
